AKA The Only Reason I'm Still on The Pill is for This Art Project is an ongoing project started in 2006, collecting inactive and expired pills from women in my community, and assembling them into artworks. I concluded the project in 2016, as the topics of birth control & reproductive freedom became less taboo to discuss openly.

This work was revisited in 2022 for the exhibition, Wax and Wane, at Stay Home Gallery in Paris, TN. After the reversal of Roe V. Wade by the U.S. Supreme Court, maintaining access to birth control, bodily autonomy, and gender-affirming care is as important as ever.
